It tells the story of three very different families who are struggling to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion, which they think will solve all their problems. I was surprised to see the show rated so low, but it made more sense after seeing many reviews explaining how they didn’t get past the first episode. The show is a mystery entertainer that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it quite funny and entertaining, with a special tone from Liz Feldman that I love. I really like the cast and everyone’s performances. I wasn’t initially sold on Ray Romano due to my own biases (a lifetime of being unable to separate him from Everybody Loves Raymond), but that faded away pretty quickly. All the different characters have their own side stories that form a tangled web of chaos that gradually, though not completely, unravels. I was pretty much engaged with the story by the last episode, despite the main situation being resolved very early on. I’m not mad about it, though. I would love to watch more of this show and I really hope they get a second season without wasting time endlessly scrolling – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
